Through a sampling of the best of Russian cinema, students will learn about the highlights of Russian history that had informed the country’s national character and explains its current international behavior.  Among the films to be screened and discussed are such classical Russian films, as Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great, Russian Ark, and others.
