On the banks of the mighty Dnieper River, a sweeping love story unfolds set to Sergei Prokofiev's glorious score with all-new choreography by Alexei Ratmansky, ABT's Artist-in-Residence and the former artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet. ABT's world-famous dancers, including Russian ballet stars Diana Vishneva and Veronika Part, will bring this premiere to life on the Metropolitan Opera House stage.

This mixed repertory program also includes the ABT Premiere of James Kudelka's Désir a daring exploration of the art of pas de deux set to Prokofiev's Cinderella and Waltz Suite. Plus, in a tribute to the centennial celebration of Russian impresario Serge Diaghilev's Ballet Russes, ABT's All-Prokofiev Celebration culminates with St. Petersburg-native George Balanchine's masterful interpretation of the biblical parable, Prodigal Son.
