Born 1946, Dr. Mark Khidekel is an internationally renowned architect and designer with experience in organizing and leading large-scale international urban architectural projects. Dr. Khidekel has received a number of international prizes including the Grand Prix at the World Biennial INTERARCH in 1983. Dr. Khidekel studied architecture under his father, Lazar Khidekel, a disciple of Mark Chagall and Kazimir Malevich, and an outstanding avant-garde artist and architect. Dr. Mark Khidekel received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Architecture from the Leningrad Institute of Architecture and Construction. Former Principal of the Scientific Experimental Architectural Studio and Deputy Director of the State Institute of Architecture, St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1992, Dr. Khidekel was nominated to the International Academy of Architecture.
Since moving to the United States in 1994, Dr. Khidekel has worked with Philip Johnson on a large Russian-American urban project, has been a visiting professor at the Parsons School of American Design and continues to develop the post-suprematist style in architecture, interior design and applied art.
Since 1996, Dr. Khidekel has been a "Registered Architect" of state New York and works on prestigious architectural projects in the Tri-State area.
