Nina Kossman will introduce her new book of poems, “Gods of Unfinished Business." She will also read excerpts from her book of short stories in Russian, “Оправдание мартышки.”
This is a bilingual presentation, in English and Russian.
Nina Kossman is a writer, poet, translator of Russian poetry, painter, and playwright. Among her published works are three books of poetry in English, two collections of poetry in Russian, two volumes of translations of Tsvetaeva’s poems, a memoir, two collections of short stories, an anthology she edited for Oxford University Press, and a novel. Her work has been translated into Greek, French, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, Persian, and Dutch. She lives in New York.
