Wednesday, May 1, 5:00-7:00 PMVladimir Efroimson was born in 1950 in Moscow. Since 1993 he has lived in the USA. Being a mathematician by training he worked in computational mathematics, theoretical oceanography, programming, financial risk calculations. He has been writing poetry since the early 70s and was a member of the Moscow Club “Poezia”. His poems were published in periodicals and in almanacs. He published three books of poetry.
Владимир Эфроимсон родился в 1950 г. в Москве. С 1993 г. живет в США. По образованию математик. Занимался вычислительной математикой, математической океанологией, программированием, расчётами финансовых рисков. Стихи пишет с начала 70-х. Публиковался в периодике («Октябрь», «Знамя», «Вестник Европы», «Дружба Народов», «Интерпоэзия», «Новый Журнал» и др.), а также в альманахах и коллективных сборниках. Был членом Московского Клуба «Поэзия». Опубликовал три книги стихов.
