"A Trap for the Ghost"(2010) represents a unique creative effort made by Azerbaijani and French filmmakers. This full-length feature film is jointly produced by Ibrus Film Company and Toursky theater under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Republic. An international crew and a brilliant cast that puts experienced professionals next to bright debutants have helped to create an irresistible cultural mix. Baku and Marseilles - two southern cities where the plot it set – has resulted in very special blend of natural beauty and exotism with European minimalistic approach.

The film tells a love story between Richard, an elderly French film director, and Tamilla, a young Azeri starlet. He’s got it all - his fame and his life of drama and passion… Even though he is admired by the public and adored by beautiful women, he is still on his own with no family or kids. The truth is that he fears strong attachments and avoids long-term relationships that imply responsibilities. Still, Richard gets his last chance when he encounters Tamilla. Meeting her makes him ready for action: he puts away his work and dares to undertake a mindboggling trip to Azerbaijan, a far away country where his married (alas!) sweetheart lives. He will risk everything to spend just one night with her knowing it could be revealed any moment by her jealous husband. Yet, is he ready for the drastic change... if it means losing his freedom that is so important to him?

Фильм "Глазами призрака" (2010) – уникальный продукт сотрудничества азербайджанских и французских кинематографистов. Картина произведена кинокомпанией "Ибрус" совместно с театром Турски при участии Министерства Культуры и Туризма Азербайджанской Республики. Интернациональная съемочная группа и яркий актерский состав (который включал в себя как безусловных профессионалов, так и талантливых дебютантов) позволили создать неповторимый культурный сплав, а города, в которых разворачивается действие фильм – Баку и Марсель – насытили его одновременно южными красками и натурализмом при изысканной минималистичности европейского кино.

Это история любви между стареющим французским режиссером и молодой азербайджанской актрисой. У него есть слава и театр; его обожают зрители и женщины. Но он по-прежнему одинок, так как страшится обязательств и постоянных отношений. Судьба дарит ему последний шанс – встречу с Тамиллой, ради которой он готов на многое: бросив дела, лететь в далекий Азербайджан, ждать с нетерпением тайного свидания с - увы! – замужней возлюбленной, рисковать жизнью в случае, если будет разоблачен ее ревнивым мужем. Но готов ли он к главному?... Лишиться своей свободы, которую ценит превыше всего…
